Assisted Living

All residents in our assisted living suites receive help with many daily and weekly activities. Beyond supporting their basic needs, Parkside and the Gardens each offer four varying levels of care so that residents can age in place. Many individuals find the opportunity to receive progressive levels of support while remaining in the same facility emotionally and mentally beneficial. All levels of care include:

  • Three nutritious meals served daily in our elegant dining rooms
  • Fresh fruits, beverages and snacks available around the clock
  • Licensed nurses available (on campus) 24 hours per day
  • Nutritional assessment by a registered dietician for residents on special diets
  • Administration of medications and simple skin treatments
  • Transportation for doctor appointments and special events
  • Wellness program
  • Full program of entertainment, parties, picnics and religious services
  • Weekly housekeeping services with monthly carpet cleaning
  • Weekly laundering of bed and bath linens
  • Reminders in completing activities of daily living (e.g. bathing)
Assisted Living Level I

  • All of the above services
  • Annual care plan conference with resident and family
  • Reminders and supervision with bathing or showering
Assisted Living Level II

  • All of the above services
  • Assistance as needed with prosthetics or with difficult clothing items such as hosiery, buttons, slippers (for residents who are able to participate in dressing but need occasional help)
  • Single person assistance with showering
  • Toileting reminders and assistance
  • Reminders as needed for appointments, meals and activities of daily living
  • Quarterly care plan conference with resident and family
  • Monitoring of special health problems by a licensed nurse
Assisted Living Level III

  • All of the above services
  • Daily physical assistance with dressing and undressing
  • Physical assistance in meeting personal needs such as oral hygiene, shaving, denture care, hair care
  • Complete assistance with showering and bathing
  • Assistance with incontinence management
  • Diabetic management (monitoring of blood sugars and administration of insulin)
  • Assistance in transfers and mobility – physical assistance in getting safely from bed to chair, or to and from dining room for meals
  • Quarterly care plan conference with resident and family
  • Monitoring of special health problems by a licensed nurse
Assisted Living Level IV

  • All of the above services
  • Physical assistance in mobility to include pushing a resident who is wheelchair dependent
  • Physical assistance in transfers, to include the use of a mechanical lift ifnecessary and appropriate
Memory Enhancement Suites

All levels of care include:

  • Three nutritious meals served daily in our elegant dining room
  • Fresh fruits, beverages and snacks available around the clock
  • Licensed nurses on campus and available 24 hours a day
  • Transportation for doctor appointments and special events
  • Wellness program coordinated by a licensed therapist
  • Full life enrichment program
  • Weekly housekeeping services
  • Weekly laundering of bed and bath linens

Level I:
Level I care includes a full range of activities designed for residents with memory problems or cognitive impairments, as well as staff assistance with bathing, dressing, incontinence management and personal hygiene. Residents at level I care are able to mobilize themselves independently, with a walker or cane or by propelling their own wheelchair.

Level II:
Level II care includes all of the preceding and activities services, plus staff assistance to the resident who is no longer able to walk or wheel their own chair, and verbal and physical cueing for the resident who requires supervision to complete their meals.
